Materials and built form gesture out to the sea views and offer a strong counterpoint to the rolling contour of this dune-top site. Low maintenance and unfussy plants and materials reflect the essence of relaxed sea-side living.

“…This finish marries the brown tones of the schist with the creamy colour in the patio's Hinuera stone surface. As well as adding a natural aesthetic, it makes the water a very tranquil shade of green…”

Sustainable hardwood has been used to create oversized floating steps to the pool area. Plants and materials are thoughtfully selected to reflect something of Auckland’s volcanic and coastal environment.

I believe we should seek to design gardens that are innovative and fresh, challenging the standard option in a drive for genuinely specific outdoor living environments. It is my goal to provide strong, stylish and enduring gardens that are appropriate for their context and anchored into the essence of each site.
While the majority of my work centres around the production of garden concept plans, following this stage, I can provide more detailed drawings such as planting plans, lighting plans and design details to take the design to the next level of specificity. I also prepare ”Landscape Plans” for resource consent purposes as well as swimming pool design and related drawings to support council consent applications. Throughout the build of your garden I can provide on-going design supervision, liaising with the installer to guide the project and manage any evolution of the design in a way that benefits and reinforces the overall concept.
